A Coastal Masterpiece Built for Relaxation

Project overview

Set on a uniquely shaped coastal block with sweeping views, this home was designed to maximise outlook, comfort and liveability.

From the curved tiled fireplace to the warmth of heatwood flooring, every element was selected to balance clean design with a relaxed coastal feel.

The clients wanted a high end home that felt luxurious yet comfortable, without wasting space.

The design needed to respond to a challenging triangular block while capturing views and connecting the home to its natural surroundings.

Building during COVID
Construction took place during the COVID period, with ongoing material shortages and delivery delays affecting timelines.

Open, honest communication was essential to manage expectations and keep progress moving forward.

Working with a triangular block
The unusual block shape required thoughtful design and precise construction to ensure efficient use of space while maintaining flow and functionality.

Materials and Techniques Used

Mitred tiling was used in the bathrooms to achieve a seamless, high end finish.

A double sided curved fireplace forms a central feature of the living space, while timber mouldings and heatwood flooring introduce warmth and texture throughout the home.
