Project overview
This wasn’t your average backyard playground. The brief was to create a space where the kids could spend hours outdoors using their imagination, while giving Mum and Dad a place to relax and enjoy watching them play. Suspension bridges, a flying fox, tunnel slide, fireman’s pole, monkey bars, swings, climbing walls, a cubby house, sandpit, in-ground trampoline and merry-go-round all had to connect together while remaining safe, practical and fun for children of different ages. Rather than feeling like a collection of separate pieces of equipment, it became one large adventure, and the sort of backyard that will be remembered long after the kids have outgrown it.

Challenges Faced
The biggest challenge was fitting so many different play elements into one space without it feeling overcrowded. Every platform, bridge and piece of equipment had to connect together while remaining safe, practical and fun for children of different ages. Careful planning and attention to detail throughout the build meant we could make the most of every square metre.

Client Feedback
I think what they’ll enjoy most is seeing their kids spend more time outdoors and creating memories together. The playground gives the whole family a space to enjoy, with endless opportunities for adventure, imagination and play. It’s the sort of backyard that will be remembered long after the kids have outgrown it.
